HOW IT WORKS

Thank you for your interest in the World According to Kids.

The ideal starting age is between 4-8, although many parents have been overjoyed at what we’ve created when kids have started as late as 12 or 14. We recommend in-person interviews, especially if you’re near London or New York, as we believe they create better interviews. But the pandemic taught us that Zoom interviews are possible.

Each year, we ask children similar questions about life, then edit their answers for the films to reveal how their beliefs evolve over time in a delightfully entertaining way. At the beginning of the project, we review the topics we’ll be asking with the parents, and add or avoid topics when requested.

There is a minimum three-year commitment, and most families continue until their kids turn 18.

The cost is impossible to estimate online, as the variables range from the number of children, number of interviews, locations, how many films we make, and whether we incorporate personal home video and photos into the final film. As each project is bespoke, the cost is calculated on application.

The ultimate vision is to create a full-scale proper documentary that can be passed down for generations, that your children’s grandchildren will one day enjoy.

To see the calibre of film we make, at the bottom of this page is the 35-minute documentary that our founder, Richard Williamson, made when his son Ben turned eighteen.
